Coaching Skills

What’s really driving the boom in coaching, is this: as we move from 30 miles an hour to 70 to 120 to 180 . . . the whole game changes, and a lot of people are trying to keep up, learn how not to fall.
John Kotter, Professor of Leadership, Harvard Business School

Course description

When you strive to solve challenging problems, it can feel as though the collaboration could be smoother or that somehow you’re not quite achieving optimal results.

We created the first Coaching Skills workshop in response to clients’ requests that we help them to improve both intra- and inter-team working relationships and collaborations as well as the engagement and development of more junior staff. Over the years we’ve taught the program to individual clients and their teams, all the while learning from our clients and getting tremendous feedback about the value of Coaching Skills and its impact on team culture.

We’ve compiled what we learned into this web-based program and workbook called The Workplace Toolkit: Actionable Approaches to People Problems.

Course Objectives

Our goal is to help you to learn additional communication skills so that you can more effectively:

  • Promote collaboration;
  • Elicit others’ best thinking for better results;
  • Engage and empower team members; and
  • Support colleagues in taking ownership of their work.
